CAD Design. Laser Cutting. Folding. All Under One Roof.
Most fabrication problems start at the prep stage. Parts cut to the wrong tolerance. Folds that didn’t allow for material thickness. CAD that doesn’t quite match the engineer’s intent. By the time it shows up at the welding bay, the timeline is already gone.
We do all our prep, CAD, CNC laser cutting and folding, in-house. Send us your drawings or a brief and we will quote it.
Accurate prep. Cleaner welds.
Good fabrication starts before the welder strikes an arc. We do the prep right.
CAD Design
Our CAD team works from your drawings, sketches or briefs to produce build-ready designs and cutting lists. For projects that come in light on detail, we work alongside your engineer or architect to fill the gaps before parts get cut.
CAD isn’t a separate service we charge for, it is the start of every fabrication job we run. The benefit of having it in-house is speed: when a drawing changes at week three of a five-week build, we update files and re-cut the affected parts the same day.
CNC Laser Cutting
Sheet and plate cut to drawing with the accuracy and edge quality you would expect from a CNC laser. Suitable for one-offs, small batches and run work. Carbon steel, stainless, mild steel, within the cutting envelope of our machine.
Edges are clean enough to weld straight off the laser bed where the spec allows it. For tighter applications we follow up with a deburring step before the parts hit the welding bay. Either way, no guesswork at the next stage.
Why Have It In-House
Speed, control, accountability.
1
Drawing changes don't mean waiting for an external supplier slot
2
Quality control, we own the part from CAD to weld to finish
3
Tolerance to the build, not what is standard at the laser house
4
No laser house margin, no folding house margin, no logistics between trades
Folding
Press brake folding for parts that need bending after cutting. Tooled up for the kind of repeat work commercial fabrication actually involves, brackets, panels, enclosures, structural folds, motor housings, machine guards.
Tolerances tight enough for the assembly to go together first time. Allowances calculated for material thickness and bend radius, not eyeballed. The folds that look easy on the drawing are the ones that fail in assembly when they are not done properly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you cut to my drawings only, without doing the rest?
Yes, prep-only work is available for trade clients on capacity. Get in touch with the scope and we will let you know lead time.
What materials do you cut?
Carbon steel, stainless, mild steel, within the cutting envelope of our machine. Send us the spec and we will confirm.
What file formats do you accept?
DWG, DXF, PDF and STEP for most jobs. We can work from sketches too if that is what you have.
What thicknesses can you cut?
Standard commercial range. Send us the spec and we will confirm fit before quoting.
Do you do small runs as well as one-offs?
Yes, both. Set up for one-offs, small batches and ongoing run work.
